Questions are good things. They are there to get to know others and to find the common ground with each other, with the people we want to love. Well, I would think that the biggest thing I need to learn is to love myself. I think at least. I like lists, I make lists, mainly about anime and manga that I want to read and watch. And sometimes about American books too. My life does revolve around things that I consume. And I do not know if I am fine with that. I would like to fancy myself that I like philosophy, but in truth, I like the idea of philosophy. In the sense, philosophy means the love of knowledge, because we cannot know everything. So we need to start with things that we do not know, even though there are many famous figures in philosophy, I do not want to read from them. Because the biggest thing that I do not know if myself. And, as I am right now, I am more interested in filling the emptiness in me, if that makes sense. But I like questions. So, I went out and looked for que
The Eyes of Sora or Sora's Eyes is a manhwa made by Summer and was published on Lezhin in 2015. In its original language, it already concluded, but it is currently being translated.
The premiss of the manhwa is interesting: "When Jeongha, the temperamental young son of a wealthy businessman was suddenly stricken down with a mysterious illness, his father scrambled to look for a cure. But the debilitating affliction persisted. Desperate and out of option, the father sought out help from a temple up on a misty mountain to save the life of his only son." - mangaupdates.com
The art style is really interesting, it has this sketchy style that looks almost half-finished but it makes it looks easy and light. It brings a nice atmosphere to the entire piece. It looks something really promising. I will be reviewing it chapter by chapter since it is still being translated to English, but if you understand Korean, then you should check Summer out on Lezhin.
Chapter 1: And the first chapter is just that, showing Sora arriving in Jeongha's place. He sees things that others can't see and he thinks that the mountain god had cursed Jeongha. Sora remains with the family to help him and Sora will serve the family, the father is helpful, but Jeongha is not. Seven years passed and both boys are already high schoolers. Sora had already become someone who needs to take care of Jeongha.
Character note: Jeongha is a seriously unlikable character even as a child who doesn't care if he hurts people or destroys property. This goes beyond being spoiled, he has a mean personality. And Sora is a little bit of a pushover. This is the character dynamic that we are starting with.
Score: 7/10
Chapter 2 + 3: Jeongha is really troublesome and annoying, he hadn't changed at all. And he actually has rules set for Sora, that he shouldn't nag him or keep close to him. But I do think that life with him is always an emergency by how he is acting with everyone else. And it seems that Jeongha's condition involves him losing control and beating Sora senseless. It does seem that it is getting to him though. And he is sleeping more and more. I genuinely feel sorry for Sora.

Chapter 4 + 5: No one told me that this is a horror story. There is a scene here when Kanghee is asking for Sora to help her in a necromancy problem. She has spiritual problems too. First of all, who thinks it is fun doing something like this when you know that spirits exist. And then there is this scene, Kanghee's friend getting someone overtaking her life. That little drawing scared me... I actually got chills running up my spine when I saw it.
Chapter 6: We finally see an exorcism from Sora, and as it seems everything comes back to his eyes and the fact that he sees the world a little bit differently. Joengha is really mean to this one guy named Ji Yeonsoo. I thought I will remember this name because it seems that this will be going somewhere.
Note: We are always jumping back between the past and the present, and that is not a problem, it just highlights what a bastard Jeongha is. I do wonder if his character gets redeemed, I do think that something is interesting behind his character. I don't think that he is cruel just because it is in his character, but it could be that I am mistaking.
